He made the call while attending a high-level breakfast roundtable hosted by the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) in New York on Wednesday, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Hossain was accompanied by Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Ashik Chowdhury and Dr. Tasnim Jara of the National Citizen Party (NCP).

The event brought together leading business figures and policymakers to explore new avenues for trade facilitation, foreign investment, and broader economic collaboration between Bangladesh, the United States, and the global business community.
Highlighting Bangladesh’s strategic location, youthful workforce, and expanding domestic market, the adviser encouraged American investors to take advantage of the country’s growing economic potential.
Held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, the BCIU roundtable served as a platform for international business leaders to engage directly with senior Bangladeshi officials and discuss ways to strengthen mutually beneficial economic partnerships.
