Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain and Timor-Leste Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Bendito dos Santos Freitas sign an agreement in Dhaka on 15 December. Photo: BSS

Bangladesh and Timor-Leste have signed two instruments on visa exemption and the establishment of bilateral consultation mechanism (BCM) aiming to reach the relations between the two nations to a new height.

The agreements were signed at a joint press appearance at Chief Adviser’s Office (CAO) here in presence of Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and President of Timor-Leste Jose Ramos-Horta.

On behalf of their respective sides, Home Adviser Lt Gen Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Timor-Leste Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Bendito dos Santos Freitas signed the agreement on exemption from visa requirement for holders of diplomatic and official or service passports.
