Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan has said he would consider the best option for himself, when joining politics, which is not necessarily the newly formed political party.

“That can be any party, not necessarily the new political party,” said the adviser to the ministries of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, and Youth and Sports during a press briefing today (26 April).

Referring to the National Citizen Party (NCP), he said the new party was formed by the young generation and people of his age group, so he does have some “interest” there.

However, he said there is no need to assume that he would choose to join this party.

“It’s not the time yet to decide which party I would join and when I would do so is also uncertain,” the adviser added.
