A new form of fascism has emerged after the fall of the previous fascist government, Jatiyo Party Chairman GM Quader said today (20 April).
“With the fall of fascism, a new form of fascism has emerged,” he said, alleging that the interim government has been repressing people across the country under the label of fascism and its allies.
Speaking at the party’s extended meeting at his office in Dhaka’s Banani this afternoon, he also said there can be no prosperity in the country without a free and fair election.
Only those who win the elections should carry out the necessary state reforms, he said.
“If the elections are not fair, they won’t be accepted. Without acceptance, there will be no investment and unemployment will rise. And if law and order is not stable, no one will want to invest here,” he further said.
The Jatiyo Party chairman alleged that police obstructed their political programme in Lalmonirhat and supporters of “neo-fascists” later attacked their party office.
