BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that the BNP does not want religion-based division in the nation, nor does it want to use religion as a political tool.
“Constitutionally, we are all citizens. We should not become communities here, rather we should remain citizens. Our goal is to ensure the effective implementation of the rights of citizens as guaranteed by the constitution.
“There is no discrimination in the constitution based on religion,” he said today (29 September) while visiting the Puja Mandap at Dhakeshwari Temple on behalf of the BNP on the occasion of Durga Puja.
