Uzbekistan and Bangladesh Discuss Expansion of Trade and Economic Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 October, Alisher Shaikhov, Adviser to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, met with Muhammad Monirul Islam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan.
The meeting was organized to further strengthen trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Bangladesh, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, and launch new joint projects.
During the discussions, the parties addressed the development of business relations in the textile and pharmaceutical industries, jute production, agriculture, and fisheries.
They also explored opportunities to enhance cooperation between the business communities of both countries, implement joint investment projects, develop tourism and cultural exchanges, and attract qualified specialists from Bangladesh to Uzbekistan.
The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, with both sides confirming their readiness to support new initiatives and implement mutually beneficial projects.
