Newly political party named Bangladesh United Party (BUP) has been formed formally today (28 October).
The declaration came through a press conference held today at Jatiya Press Club here.
The party has launched with 18 goals and objectives. Zakir Hossain Pradhaniya is the chairman of this new political party– BUP.
At the press conference, he said, the main goal of this party is to institutionalise democracy in the independent Bangladesh achieved through the Liberation War, preserve the rights of the people, establish economic balance, ensure the rule of law, and form a developed and modern Bangladesh state.
The party’s goals and objectives are to properly preserve, evaluate, and protect the history of the great Liberation War of 1971 and the freedom fighters, and to properly evaluate the July fighters, the martyrs and the injured of the 24th, and ensure their due dignity.
The party also aims to ensure the independence of the judiciary and build a modern and up-to-date courthouse.
