DHAKA, Nov 5, 2025 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) has approved another milestone investment in high-tech manufacturing, welcoming AeroSynth Limited to establish a drone manufacturing facility at the BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ) in Mirsharai, Chattogram.

This will be the second drone manufacturing project at the BEPZA Economic Zone.

This Chinese owned company will invest $ 3.5 million to produce a variety of drones, including toy drones, fishing drones, and drones for delivering lightweight products. The company aims for an annual production target of 150,000 units, creating job opportunities for 70 Bangladeshi nationals, said a press release.

The first drone manufacturing project at the BEPZA EZ, which is already under implementation, focuses on producing drones for agricultural pesticide spraying, firefighting, emergency rescue, product delivery, cinematography, and mapping.

Together, these projects represent BEPZA’s continued diversification into advanced and future-oriented industries.

The lease agreement was signed today at the BEPZA Complex, Dhaka, by Md. Ashraful Kabir, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, and Hu Dandan, Authorized Representative of AeroSynth Limited.

BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain witnessed the signing ceremony.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman thanked AeroSynth Limited for choosing BEPZA Economic Zone as the investment destination for such a high-tech venture. He reaffirmed BEPZA’s commitment to providing round-the-clock support to ensure seamless business operations.

As of September 2025, six companies at the BEPZA Economic Zone have already started production and export while development work continues. These operational industries have created employment for nearly 4,000 workers and exported products worth around $ 19.92 million.

Several more companies are preparing to commence production soon, further expanding the zone’s industrial diversity.

The signing ceremony was attended by Abdullah Al Mamun, Member (Engineering); A N M Foyzul Haque, Member (Finance); Md. Khorshid Alam, Executive Director (Enterprise Services); Lt. Col. Mohammad Arifur Rahaman, Executive Director (Security); Samir Biswas, Executive Director (Admin); ASM Anwar Parvez, Executive Director (Public Relations), along with representatives of AeroSynth Limited.
