DHAKA, Aug 30, 2025 (BSS) –Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has said  that citizens, government and the private sector must work together for achieving a green and sustainable Bangladesh.

She made the remark this evening while addressing as the Chief Guest at the “Dwijen Sharma Environment Award 2024” ceremony organized by BRAC Bank and Torupallab at the Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad Auditorium of Bangla Academy, a ministry press release said.

Rizwana, also the adviser of the Ministry of Water Resources, said the struggle for environmental protection is not just confined to policies or programmes rather it is a responsibility of future generations.

Citing examples of government initiatives such as ‘Sal’ forest restoration, protection of elephant corridors, and the “Zero Soil” campaign, she added, “Dhaka today is greener than before.
