Jatiya Party Secretary General Barrister Shamim Haider Patwary expressed his hope that the party will play a positive role in Bangladeshi politics under GM Quader’s leadership.

“Under the leadership of party chairman GM Quader, grassroots leaders and activists remain united. The party will be the address of trust for all the people of this country,” he made these remarks while addressing a views exchange meeting with the Jatiya Tarun Party at the party’s central office auditorium in Dhaka’s Kakrail today (9 August).

Patwary also urged party leaders and activists to remain united, avoiding being misled by conspiracies.

“The Jatiya Party is preparing to take responsibility for running the country with a renewed approach,” he said, calling upon the youth and students to join under the party’s flag to lead the country.

Addressing the recent political situation, the Jatiya Party leader alleged, “The country is facing an acute political vacuum, with experienced politicians being kept away from governance. As a result, the nation, state, government, and administration are becoming weaker and weaker, putting national unity, independence, sovereignty, and integrity at risk.”

He also emphasised arranging a free and fair election, stating, “The environment for a fair election seems far from being achieved. The government must demonstrate the ability and willingness to hold a fair election, discussing with all the political parties.”
